Birmingham has always been my home, except for four years while I attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. I returned to Birmingham and began my professional career while attending Samford University and receiving my Master of Business Administration. After which, I worked in the financial industry for several years, until I had three children close together and decided to “retire” to be a stay-at-home mother.
During my children’s early years, I volunteered with their schools and several civic organizations, serving in both leadership and fundraising positions. I reentered the workforce when my twins went to middle school, acting as parish administrator for a
church and CFO for a family-owned business.
In 2018, I was introduced to Emily Lassiter by a mutual friend and was inspired by her strength, grace, intelligence and business savvy. She helped me realize the importance of establishing and nurturing relationships with good people, and that it is never too late to learn how to build a happy and healthy life for you and your family.
In 2021, soon after becoming an empty nester, I was offered the opportunity to join Somerset Advisory. My hope in this new chapter of life is each day to have the opportunity to live, love, laugh and learn, and it is a tremendous blessing to be surrounded by professionals who live into this mantra. Somerset’s emphasis on relationship building and its holistic approach to helping clients obtain their goals sets it apart from other businesses in the industry, and I am delighted to be a member of its team.
