Alora Scholes

Originally from the small town of Waverly, Tennessee, I grew up with a deep appreciation for hard work and community. That path eventually led me to Birmingham, where I attended Samford University and earned my degree in Finance with a concentration in Professional Sales from the Brock School of Business.

During my time at Samford, I served on the Bulldog Fund, our student-managed investment portfolio, which sparked my interest in wealth management and ultimately led me to Somerset. Birmingham quickly became more than just the place I went to school—it’s now the place I proudly call home.

What motivates me most is the opportunity to serve others. I’m passionate about building genuine relationships and providing tailored solutions to each client’s needs. I have always valued financial literacy and strive to make personal finances more approachable and less intimidating. At Somerset, I have the opportunity to pursue the work I’m most passionate about while collaborating with the most talented and supportive team in the industry.

Outside of work, you can often find me playing mahjong with friends, enjoying a good cup of coffee, or exploring new restaurants in Birmingham. I have loved Birmingham since college, and my appreciation for the area has only grown the longer I have lived here.
